How To Order

How to order with ease and security from Winescape

To order now, browse our shop and use our online shopping basket as you go. If you can't find what you're looking for straight away, try using the advanced search, useful if you want a particular country, region or year.....then simply add the items to the shopping basket (you can check your balance at any time by clicking on "check basket"). You can add or remove items at any time and even go away from our site and go back to your basket at a later stage in the day.

When you are happy with your choices, just click on "checkout" to complete your purchase. You will be asked for the billing address and e-mail address (this is for us to send you a confirmation of your order and will not be used by any third parties)

The next page is for delivery details (if different from the billing address) and also gives you the opportunity to add a message eg: "Happy Birthday Mum" or "please leave with neighbour". If you are happy with these details click on "continue". You will then see a summary of your order details, and, if you are happy all are correct click on "confirm order"

You then enter your card details (these are encrypted to the highest level of security) and click "confirm order". The final screen just confirms that you have paid and your order will be confirmed via e-mail.

If at any stage of this process you experience any problems or would rather order by telephone, please see our "contact us" page and we will be happy to help. Please note we can only send wine within the U.K. The delivery charge is for mainland UK only. For Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight and other "offshore" areas there will be an additional charge of £15 to cover the couriers costs.

These are Winescape’s Online Store Terms and Conditions of sale to which all online purchases are subject.

1. Price Information

The prices shown are only applicable to purchases made via the Winescape website. Prices in our printed material may be higher or lower than shown.

All prices are correct at time of display online and include V.A.T. In the unlikely event of an administrative error resulting in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct the price. In these circumstances, you will not be bound to continue with your purchase, and will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed. All delivery charges will be shown clearly during the checkout process.

2. Ordering Goods

To order goods from the online store simply click the "add" button next to the item of your choice. After making your selections enter your shopping basket using the "Amend Basket" button on the top menu bar. You will be able to review and amend your order before proceeding through the checkout pages. During the checkout process you will be prompted to confirm delivery details, and to provide details of the credit/debit card you wish to use. At any point you can return to a previous screen to make amendments. After entering your credit/debit card details you will have a final chance to check all the details of your order. Once your order has been accepted, Winescape will confirm your order by sending an email to you using the address you supplied .This brings into existence a legally binding agreement between us. Please refer to section 1 above regarding incorrect prices. Please note that the only language in which the contract can be concluded is English. Details of your order will be retained by Winescape in our database and these details can be made available on request.

3. Validation Checks

All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. In addition, in the interests of preventing fraudulent use of credit and charge cards, Winescape may validate the names and addresses supplied during the order process against commercially available records (e.g Electoral Roll data). We may need to contact you by letter, telephone or email to verify details before we are able to dispatch your order.

4. Liability

The majority of card issuers cover all the charges that may result from unauthorised use of your credit card or debit cards, but some may limit your liability to £50. If you believe your credit or debit card has been subject to unauthorised use you should contact your card issuer without delay.

5. Delivery of Goods

From the receipt of your order, we will endeavour to deliver your chosen items to you within 10 working days, providing the goods are in stock. Risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery. (Working days do not include weekends and national Bank Holidays.) Deliveries to non-mainland or remote locations may take longer. If we are not able to deliver you order, or if there will be a significant delay in delivering your order, we will contact you within 5 days of receipt of your order to agree an alternative delivery date. However, if this is not acceptable to you, we will offer you the choice of cancellation and a refund.

6. Claims

Claims for breakages and missing bottles must be notified in writing on the consignment note at the time of delivery. Please inform us immediately of any damage or loss, in order to speed up and facilitate your claim. Non-delivery must be notified within 14 days of the notified date of despatch. Any failure to comply will result in the non-satisfaction of any claim.

7. Unwanted Goods

If you decide that you do not want any item which we have delivered, then, provided that it is returned to us within 1 month of purchase, in the condition in which we sent it to you, along with the delivery note (as proof of purchase), we will exchange it or offer a refund. We will arrange collection from you.

This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.

8. Safe Shopping Guarantee

We have used every effort to ensure that shopping on the Internet with Winescape is as safe as possible. Our secure server software encrypts all of your personal information sent over the Internet. In processing your order, your information may have to be sent over the Internet more than once. At no point is your order information sent in this way without encryption.
